Jack Katz is an American comic book artist, writer, painter and art teacher. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jack has been working in the comic book industry since 1944. He worked for comics publishers including Fawcett, Quality, Standard, King Features, Skywald, Warren, Atlas, Marvel, and DC Comics. In 1974, with the generous support of his wife Carolyn, he began his groundbreaking 24-part epic The First Kingdom. In addition to drawing comics, Jack is an accomplished oil painter and art teacher.
Jack has always had a love of storytelling, and has drawn many works through his career, though some of these works still remain unpublished. In 2019, Jack completed work on a 500-page graphic novel Beyond the Beyond. He is currently working on a new graphic novel.
